Training is vital to keep the doors working smoothly and prevent unnecessary downtime of your buses. This course is delivered with specially designed training door rigs to ensure all aspects of door maintenance are covered whilst allowing access to areas of the doors that are usually hidden.
Training is delivered in Farnborough as we have a full selection of current and legacy doors.
These courses are aimed at technicians involved in the maintenance, repair and set-up of doors. Trainees will be encouraged to develop their understanding by participating in practical exercises and discussion throughout the day.
Training on the complete range of doors is completed in two days. Depending on demand and logistics, we may be able to offer half-day courses as part of a planned programme of training for specific doors.
Doors are one of the most heavily used components on a bus but can easily be overlooked when undertaking routine or preventative maintenance. Properly adjusted doors will ensure trouble-free and safe operation for many years.
Doors may look simple, but there are three different systems operating together which must all be set up properly to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
1. Mechanical
2. Pneumatic
3. Electrical / electronic
